But be wary of thermal shock, burn marks and cracks that can be caused by quickly heating an isolated area.
It is generally best to use a trivet when placing hot pots and dishes onto a granite surface.
Star Galaxy Granite
This granite is beautifully named and perfectly describes its patterning and character.
With a stark black background, the multitude of bronze and gold grains make Star Galaxy look like a star gazing vista from Sutherland, but better!

The pitchblack background is the perfect backdrop for the glowing ‘stars’ dusted across the surface.
One of the advantages of choosing a dark surface material is that it hides daily crumbs and spills a lot better than lighter colours, and can add a dramatic look and feel to your space.

Colonial White Granite
If Colonial White was an ice cream flavour it would be Cookies & Cream.
This vanilla and choc chip mix creates a modern granite with mostly even patterning.

Alternatively, designers could match its pale, white tones with a white high gloss cabinet or a matte, whitewashed look.
Crema Rosita Granite

Giallo Nebbia Granite

‘Nebbia’ is the Italian word for fog or mist. Directly translated Giallo Nebbia’s name means yellow mist.
Giallo Ornamentale Granite
This granite should have been named after a cup of coffee.
Latte, coffee bean and milk chocolate are the predominent tones in this traditionally patterned slab of granite.
Which exhibits strong movement across each slab.
Like most granites, this slab comes with a polished finish and requires regular maintenance and sealing in order to prevent stains.
Bengal Black – Granite
With its sultry, velvety black tones, Bengal Black granite has been aptly named after a black panther.

This granite would match well with greys, stainless steel or other materials with a masculine look and feel such as leather.
Autumn Brown Granite
The beauty of natural stone is that it instantly creates an atmosphere, whatever the application.
Autumn Brown granite delivers a riveting and moody performance with its medley of flame orange, moss-green and cream highlights.
